TSWL 03 – Kingston Mills Locks

Intentional camera movement photograph of snow-covered trees at Kingston Mills Locks, with vertical blurring and streaking created through upward camera movement during exposure.

Kingston Mills Locks, Rideau Canal, Ontario. Created using intentional camera movement through vertical panning during exposure.

From The Straight Way Lost, a long-form photographic sequence exploring psychological landscape, disorientation, and transition along the Rideau Canal corridor in Eastern Ontario. Produced using intentional camera movement, this image dissolves the winter landscape into layered vertical forms and blurred traces of trees and snow, emphasizing instability, perception, and the fragmented visual language that characterizes the project’s opening act.
