From The Straight Way Lost, a long-form photographic sequence exploring psychological landscape, disorientation, and transition along the Rideau Canal corridor in Eastern Ontario. Photographed downstream from the emptied basin at Smiths Falls, this image reduces the canal landscape to abstracted surfaces of snow, ice, and dark water, dissolving stable spatial reference and emphasizing the project’s recurring themes of ambiguity, fragmentation, and suspended movement.
