The recto side of The Straight Way Lost presents the photographic sequence of the artist book. This opening act uses abstraction, intentional camera movement, and long exposure to evoke disorientation and psychological uncertainty along the Rideau Canal in winter.
Printed as a leporello sequence, the images are intended to be experienced continuously across folds and panels, allowing meaning to emerge through rhythm, adjacency, and transition rather than through any single photograph alone.
