Upper Gap

Photographed from the Upper Gap Archaeological Site along Highway 33 beside Lake Ontario. The site overlooks the channel between Amherst Island and Prince Edward County’s Cressy Point, a location historically valued for its strategic view across the water.

Made after several weeks spent completing my Master’s project, this photograph was taken during an evening motorcycle ride west along the lakeshore. A 24-second exposure and ND filtration softened the water and clouds into muted tonal fields. The pastel colours were intentionally left restrained rather than amplified in post-processing.
